Implant Consultation

What is an implant?

Is there any pain?

Visit us at our practice in Cirencester for a consultation where we will assess your smile and discuss the best options for you going forward.

Implants are almost like natural teeth. They have a titanium root, an upper connector called an abutment, and the visible white portion called a crown.

Dental implant surgery involves trauma to both the gums and the jaw. The surgery itself should not involve any pain since the mouth will be numbed.

I did not feel any anxiety about getting my teeth inspected and cleaned like I have at other dentist's in the past. I really am pleased I joined this practice.thank you"

How Implants Work

Implants allow you to regain look, feel and function with stable and supported replacements for life.

Single Implants.png

Single Implants

If you are missing a tooth, whether through accident, injury or decay, it can be replaced with a crown fitted to a single implant. The replacement tooth is strong, secure, looks just like your existing teeth and is able to withstand pressures from chewing. The single implant can be fitted with no damage to the remaining healthy teeth, prevents any unwanted movement and provides added strength to the jaw.

Multiple Implants.png

Multiple Implants

When there are several missing teeth, 2 or more implants could support a 3 unit or longer bridge. The number of implants required depends on the number of teeth and the location in the mouth. Patients with a stronger bite are likely to require more implants to spread the load.

Groups of missing teeth can be replaced with implant-supported bridgework. There is no damage to adjacent natural teeth as preparation of neighbouring teeth is not required as the implant construction simply replaces the missing teeth.

Full Arch Implants.png

Full Arch Implant

We can now use dental implants to replace a full upper or lower arch of missing teeth. Dentures have always been the preferred option for this, but they can be uncomfortable and unstable to wear, despite modern advancements. Dental implants are seen as a superior alternative, with two full arch options available.
